IMG_5327“I found my calling and passion for teaching during my senior year of high school while completing my graduation project. During this project, I worked closely with four students with exceptional needs at a local high school. I taught them how to sing and perform three songs. I was overwhelmingly inspired by these four students’ eagerness to learn, and their very loving and receptive attitudes towards me. The desire to be a teacher entered into my heart through these students, and the memories I have of that experience will always serve as encouragement for me.

I believe that every student despite age, gender, nationality, socioeconomic status, or intellectual disability has the right to receive the highest quality of education possible. As a teacher, it will be my responsibility to afford every student that comes under my instruction the tools, opportunities, and resources that they need in order to obtain that education. I do not view teaching as merely a job, but as my opportunity to enrich not only the minds of learners but also their lives.”
