The
Family Support Network of Eastern North Carolina provides emotional support and
resource information to families of children with disabilities, chronic illness,
premature birth and to parents who have experienced the death of a child. |
I
have been with Family Support Network of Eastern North Carolina for approximately 3 years as Parent Coordinator and Smart Steps Coordinator for Martin County. This has been made possible through a Martin Pitt Partnership grant. Over the years I have had the pleasure to meet many families who are very special and important to me. As a mother of twin daughters with special needs I can somewhat relate to what the families are going through and I am very familiar with the services available to help families. I am the type of person that takes your problems and situations to heart and if I don't know that answers I will find out for you. My daughter Madison has multiple diagnosis, the main one being Angelman's Syndrome. We started out with Early Intervention and have moved onto CAPP-MR/DD so we have been in the system for awhile. My other daughter Ashlynn has ADHD and a Mood Disorder so we have been dealing with the system with CBS Services and Case Management. We have overcome many miles stones and that is why I am here. I want to help you learn about services that will enable you to overcome your many miles stones and realize you are not in this alone. | |
